Special Election Issue from Dog PAC, SB

Dog PAC is your voice on issues that matter to dog owners in Santa Barbara. Part of our power to speak for you involves having you speak for yourself when it comes to picking elected officials who represent your views. So, be sure to vote if you live in the City of Santa Barbara!

DogPAC has once again queried the mayoral and city council candidates regarding their position on a host of dog-related issues.

Our questionnaire asked about:

• the number of parks that should allow off-leash recreation;
• whether public funds should be used to pay for mutt mitts;
• what role the City might play in facilitating more opportunities for dog/owner related recreation;
• and more.

Based on emailed responses to our questionnaire, our Board awarded each candidate between 0 to 5 “Emmas” (in honor of one of our founding dogs, lovely Dalmation Emma). To be endorsed by DogPAC, a candidate must receive between 4 to 5 Emmas.

NOTE: This year all voting will be by mail, with ballots arriving around October 5. Be sure to send yours back right away; don’t let it get lost in that “inbox” pile!
